An Analysis of Women in Power and Why The Support Isn’t Even One Sided
The Thesis
Though women were granted the right to vote and were a central part in civil right movement, the counterculture of the 1960s to the sexual liberation movement of 1980s and even the current feminist movement, when they run for national office they never achieve proportional success like their male counterparts. It seems as though it will be a long while until a woman becomes president because America is not ready for a woman to truly led the country due to supremacy, gender bias/sexism, religion and the electoral college.
